May 12, (THEWILL) –Â Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for April.
Although Manchester United have had a disappointing few weeks, with only one win in April, Ronaldo has put in a very good shift with scoring regularly.
His best performance came in a 3-2 win over Norwich City, when he scored a hat trick, and he also scored against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Ronaldo has already won the Player of the Month accolade this season. He was recognised in September after scoring a brace on his debut against Newcastle.
In total, the great forward has collected six Premier League Player of the Month awards during his career, tying him for second all-time with Steven Gerrard.
Sergio Aguero and Thierry Henry are the only players to have won more.
Ronaldo will now concentrate on United’s final game of the season, a trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
It will be Ralf Rangnick’s final game in charge before Erik ten Hag takes over in the summer, and the Red Devils will almost certainly need to win to avoid being demoted to the Europa Conference League next season.
