May 09, (THEWILL) – Bukayo Saka, the 21-year-old forward for Arsenal, is on the cusp of securing a new contract with the north London club.
Talks have been ongoing since last summer, but it seems that the deal could finally be wrapped up before the English Premier League season comes to a close. Saka has been an integral part of the Gunners’ campaign this year, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists.
The England international has been in discussions with Arsenal for months, but it seems that both parties are now close to agreeing on the terms of a new deal. Saka has played almost every minute of EPL football this season and has also been impressive on the international stage, scoring three goals for England in the World Cup.
While Saka is set to stay at Arsenal for the long term, the future of Granit Xhaka is less certain. The Swiss midfielder could be on his way out of the Emirates this summer, with the club reportedly willing to sell him if they receive an acceptable offer.
