April 01, (THEWILL) — Music mogul, Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has had his prison release date moved up again, with the new date set for April 15, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The updated date is 10 days earlier than his previous release date of April 25, 2028, and significantly earlier than the original date of June 4, 2028.
The 56-year-old is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a federal trial in New York.
He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
Combs is currently being held at a federal correctional facility in New Jersey. The slight reduction in his sentence is linked to adjustments, including participation in prison programmes.
His legal team has appealed the conviction and sentence, arguing they are excessive, while federal prosecutors have asked the court to uphold the ruling.
Combs is scheduled to appear in court for an appeal hearing on April 9, 2026.
