
March 17, (THEWILL)- Senami Ibori, nee Sosu, the only surviving wife of James Ibori, a former governor of Delta State has been appointed to the board of Miss Nigeria, an annual beauty pageant showcasing the positive attributes of Nigerian women and awarding university scholarships.
Senami who runs an interior decoration business, Imanes Interiors Limited, with her tentacles spread into the real estate, oil and gas, mining industry will be joining high flying women on the board. These accomplished women include Chioma Okigbo, Olatomiwa Williams, Ego Boyo, Wunmi Ogunbiyi and Aisha Abba-Kyari to bring in their wealth of experience to move the Miss Nigeria brand to greater heights.
While Wunmi, a former beauty queen, was the 24th Miss Nigeria winner and a British-trained Fellow Accountant; Aisha is an Associate Vice President and Portfolio Manager at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).
Chioma Okigbowho runs Body Beautiful has over 28 years of experience working with clients and administering their assets. Her marketing company helps people achieve their personal wellness and business goals.
Olatomiwa, on her part, is a mentor, leader, and tech enthusiast with 20 years of experience in the information technology industry. She assisted organisations in leveraging the power of technology to achieve their business goals by setting her goals on empowering women in tech. She currently works for Microsoft in Nigeria and Ghana, with a notable passion for seeing women succeed in the tech industry and contributing to technological innovation and advancement.
She spearheads initiatives aimed at nurturing, supporting and empowering women p, mainly the younger generation t, to embrace careers in information technology. Ego Boyo on her part is a filmmaker. Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic will chair the board.
Recall that Folio Communications, owned by Rita’s husband, Fidelis Anosike, organised the pageant for 16 years until in October 2023 when he handed over the production of the pageant to The Audrey Silva Company (TASC), owned by both Rita and film director cum producer, Mildred Okwo.
