April 20, (THEWILL) – The Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), is sending at least 200 of its members to Algeria, to support Nigeria’s Under-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, during the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

SESC President, Dr (Barr) Johnson Amawoei Dagana, announced this at the club’s first NEC meeting, since their election on April 1, in Abuja. Dagana said that the NEC had ratified their election and approved the sponsorship of at least 200 members to travel to Algeria to support the Nigeria U-17 boys during the Africa U17 Cup of Nations which starts on April 29th.

The SESC President also called on corporate bodies and individuals to support the club in its bid to register its presence in various football competitions for Nigeria. According to Dagana, SESC is one of the most respected supporters club across the world.

In the past, one of their members, Iyabo Afolabi, was awarded the FAN of the match at AFCON Cameroun 2022, and in the just concluded U20 AFCON, Egypt 2023, Alhaji Musiliu Alao Jimoh received the Fan Award from Orange and an award from the Nigerian Ambassador in Egypt as the best supporter.
