March 17, (THEWILL) – Afrobeats sensation, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi, following a public fallout that saw the latter accuse the singer of abandonment.
Odunsi, who had been battling health challenges, previously claimed that Asake ignored his attempts to reach out.
However, in a video shared on Sunday, he confirmed that their differences had been resolved and that the singer had assured him of full support.
Speaking in Yoruba, which was translated into English, Odunsi said, “His mother ought to ask him when he last saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.”
He further revealed that Asake had promised to take care of his medical expenses and secure a new home for him.
“Asake said he will do everything I want. We have settled, no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything,”he stated.
Odunsi also disclosed that the singer had pledged to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
“He has never denied his child, but now he has promised to take full responsibility for her,” he added.
