March 23, (THEWILL) — Nigerian singer, Portable, has once again voiced support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a viral video, the singer called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s second-term bid, which he linked to the country’s peace and stability.
He said, “Nigeria, my country, we need peace, we want peace. If you do not want war in Nigeria, vote for Tinubu. I do not want a problem. If you do not want a US-Iran type of war, follow Tinubu. I am telling you the world is wicked.”
Portable also revealed that he is already involved in efforts to mobilise support for the president through a pro-Tinubu group.
“I just collected clothes, I haven’t collected money. If I collect money, I will share rice, noodles, and palm oil”, he added.
The artiste further spoke about ethnic backing, stating that it is the turn of the Yoruba to complete a second term.
“It is Yoruba’s turn for the second term, oh. Woe betide a Yoruba indigene that doesn’t vote for Tinubu”, he said.
He also issued a controversial warning to those who may have benefited from Tinubu’s leadership but choose not to support him.
“If you have benefited from Tinubu, and you refuse to vote for Tinubu, may Ogun kill you, be drenched with your blood”, he said.
Addressing concerns over rising fuel prices, Portable dismissed criticism and reaffirmed his loyalty to the president, saying he is not bothered by the cost of petrol.
Portable has remained a vocal supporter of Tinubu despite backlash on social media.
