June 02, (THEWILL) – Controversial musician, Speed Darlington, has officially responded to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) after failing to appear for questioning regarding a viral video where he allegedly admitted to having a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old girl.
NAPTIP had initially summoned Darlington last week, but he did not show up, prompting the agency to reschedule the meeting.
However, in a letter released today, the rapper claims that his comments were made purely for entertainment and clout.
He emphasised that he has never engaged in any form of sexual misconduct and apologised for any misunderstanding caused by the video.
Darlington has now agreed to meet with NAPTIP on June 26 for further clarification.
