May 05, (THEWILL) — The Met Gala, often described as the biggest night in fashion, returned on May 4, 2026, with celebrities embracing the theme “Costume Art”.

The annual fundraiser supports the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute and is known for its extravagant red carpet moments.

Many attendees delivered bold, theatrical looks inspired by art, history and fantasy, with several celebrities transforming their appearance to match the theme.

The guest list included high-profile co-chairs such as Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
