April 28, (THEWILL) – Talented singer, Joy Eseogbene Odiete, popularly known as Jodie, has cried out after Nigerians attacked her estranged husband, David Nnaji over her Instagram post.
The singer had taken to her Instagram handle to reveal how she suffered so she could take care of her son, Chinua, who is physically challenged.
She stated that she had to hawk beaded jewelry in offices, beg and borrow just to ensure her son is well taken care of. She called on Nigerians to come to her aid and the aid of other women taking care of physically challenged children.
After her social media outburst, some fans went to troll her ex-husband, accusing him of negligence towards his son and his former wife.
However, the singer rose to his defence in another post on her Instagram handle. She appealed to Nigerians to leave her estranged husband alone. She stated, “please stop trolling the father of my beloved son. Do you know the pain he is going through? He is a good man, even though we are not together in marriage.
“My cry represents all the cries of the Nigerian Special Mothers. He did not marry all of us, biko.
“Please be patient with me, I am recuperating, he’s facing his challenges too. Don’t lose the GOAL, which is to ensure that Nigeria has a world class organisation where special mothers can keep their kids, so they can hustle. It’s a National cry not an emotional one.”
