January 22, (THEWILL) — American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, has made history as the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at age 36, marking a major achievement in her songwriting career.
She is part of the 2026 class of honorees, joining celebrated writers such as Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, and Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS.
The previous record for the youngest female inductee was held by Carole Bayer Sager, who was 43 when she was honoured in 1987. Swift is also the second-youngest songwriter ever inducted, following Stevie Wonder, who was 33 at the time.
The Hall of Fame recognised Swift’s success with iconic hits, including All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version), Blank Space, Anti-Hero, Love Story, and The Last Great American Dynasty.
Swift will be officially inducted at a ceremony on June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
Founded in 1969, the Songwriters Hall of Fame honours writers whose songs have had a lasting impact on music. Previous inductees include music legends across genres, celebrating decades of influential songwriting.
