April 15, (THEWILL) — The American Music Awards (AMAs) announced nominees for its 52nd edition on April 14, 2026, with Taylor Swift leading the list with eight nominations.
She is followed by Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and sombr, who each earned seven nominations.
Lady Gaga received six nominations, while Kendrick Lamar also earned six. Justin Bieber and Bad Bunny each received five nominations.
Nigeria is represented in the Best Afrobeats Artist category, with nominations for Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Rema. They are joined by South Africa’s Tyla and Ghana’s MOLIY.
The ceremony is scheduled for May 25, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be hosted by Queen Latifah.
Fan voting is currently open via the AMAs website and social media platforms.
The AMAs, created in 1974, are among the biggest fan-voted music awards in the United States, with winners decided entirely by public vote.
