Team Delta still holds the top spot with 280 gold medals, but lost 40 gold, 32 silver, and 28 bronze medals, due to human error. Despite losing 26 gold, 15 silver, and seven bronze medals, Team Bayelsa remains in second place with 106 gold, 100 silver, and 83 bronze medals.
Team Edo also kept its third position with 69 gold, 77 silver, and 134 bronze medals, but lost nine gold, 17 silver, and 33 bronze medals. Team Oyo and Lagos hold their original fourth and fifth positions on the medals table. Team Rivers retained its sixth position, with 35 gold medals, but lost 53 silver and 21 bronze medals.
The Permanent Secretary of the FMYSD, Ismaila Abubakar, stated that most of the States have retained their positions on the medals table, while some States lost medals due to the full application of the rules. The Sports Ministry plans to take administrative measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
