January 22, (THEWILL) — Afrobeats singer Davido has responded after his father, Dr Deji Adeleke, publicly claimed that DNA tests confirm he is not the biological father of teenage girl Aanu, amid the ongoing paternity dispute.
The controversy began last week when Aanu Adeleke requested a DNA test to confirm whether Davido is her biological father, drawing public attention and prompting a series of statements from both families.
Dr Deji Adeleke later held a press briefing on Wednesday, asserting that DNA results show Davido is not related to the girl, in an effort to put the matter to rest.
However, Aanu’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, denies that any additional DNA tests were conducted and continues to demand independent verification of the results.
Taking to his X page (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Davido wrote:
“Thank you my loving Father …”
While Davido acknowledges his father’s statement, the paternity dispute remains unresolved, with Aanu’s mother continuing to seek independent confirmation, keeping the matter under public scrutiny.
