March 18, (THEWILL) — Tiktoker Peller has suggested he may end his nationwide tour following backlash over an unauthorized visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin on March 6.
On Tuesday, the Benin Traditional Council described Peller’s uninvited entry as a breach of sacred traditions.
The council has taken disciplinary action, including the suspension of a chief and the potential removal of a palace queen who appeared in Peller’s video.
Staff who facilitated the visit have also faced consequences, and the council has called for Peller to apologise or face legal action.
Peller launched the tour on March 6, 2026, with road trips, giveaways, and livestreams inspired by American streamer IShowSpeed.
The tour began in Benin City and has since moved to cities including Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Enugu.
The nationwide tour was planned to cover 20 states across Nigeria. However, the ongoing controversy has weighed heavily on Peller.
He said he intends to return to Yoruba states, where he feels more comfortable handling such issues.
“I think I will end this tour o. Problem just dey come left and right. All the good I did on the tour never counts; the Benin boy I helped, it’s not out there, I am tired jor.
“Make I go my Yoruba state, where I know if problem come, I go know how to handle it. It is getting boring with different problems everyday, this is not what I planned,” Peller said.
