April 27, (THEWILL) — The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, in collaboration with Berklee College of Music, wrapped up its inaugural “Berklee in Nigeria: Class of 2026” programme on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the National Theatre in Lagos.
During the event, 18 talented Nigerian students were awarded a total of $2.2 million in scholarships to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, providing them with a unique opportunity to study at one of the world’s leading music institutions.
The five-day programme, held from April 22 to 26, offered hands-on mentorship to over 100 emerging artists in areas such as songwriting, music production, and performance, led by Berklee’s renowned faculty.
As a Berklee alumna, Tiwa Savage established the initiative to bring world-class music education to Nigeria and equip young Nigerian artists with the tools needed to succeed globally.
The event underscored the growth of Afrobeats and showcased the outstanding talent emerging from Nigeria’s music scene.
