August 28, (THEWILL) — Renowned media personality, Toke Makinwa, has announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl.
The 40-year-old shared the joyful news on Instagram on Thursday, posting a photo of her newborn’s hand grasping her finger.
In her post, she described the moment as the happiest of her life and revealed her daughter’s name: Yakira Eliana Olakitan Iyanuoluwa Ikeoluwa Adunola.
Makinwa celebrated the birth as a long-awaited miracle and an answered prayer.
“I’m a Mommy… This is the happiest I’ve ever been. I have seen the goodness of God in my lifetime; I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise. My miracle is here”, she wrote.
Addressing her daughter directly, she continued, “Yakira Eliana… My purpose, my reason, my evidence. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for making me a Mother. My heart overflows with so much gratitude. God heard, God answered.”
This announcement comes just weeks after she first revealed her pregnancy on Instagram in August.
Since sharing the news, her social media has been flooded with congratulatory messages from colleagues and fans.
