The incident occurred during Christmas dinner preparations when broken glass penetrated his right hand, leaving fragments that necessitated medical intervention.
According to his manager Blake Smith: “He has been told that he should be back to 100 percent in three to four weeks.” The withdrawal marks an unexpected start to 2024 for the American professional, who dominated the previous season with remarkable consistency.
