January 26, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham has hit a major career milestone as her film Oversabi Aunty crossed the ₦1 billion box office mark. The movie now ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.
Distributor FilmOne confirmed the achievement on Instagram, stating that the film earned ₦1,017,201,953 in cinemas across West Africa.
Released in December 2025, Oversabi Aunty has also made history as the first Nollywood directorial debut to reach ₦1 billion.
In a celebratory post, FilmOne thanked audiences across the region and called the success a major achievement for the Nigerian film industry.
Reacting ,to the milestone, Abraham thanked her supporters, cast and production team for their hard work.
She also appreciated her fans, Nigerians, and FilmOne for helping make the project a success.
“Thank you, everyone. I’m short of words. Oversabi Aunty to the world and still showing in cinemas near you. My first directorial debut on the big screen. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,” she wrote.
