January 09, (THEWILL) — Music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, asked U.S. President Donald Trump for a presidential pardon, but Trump has declined to grant it.
Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of prostitution-related crimes.
In an interview with The New York Times, Trump confirmed that Combs sent a letter requesting a pardon but said he does not plan to act on it.
He added that their once-friendly relationship has become strained after Combs publicly criticised him during his political career.
Combs is expected to serve most of his sentence, which runs until at least 2028, unless his legal team succeeds on appeal.
