February 21, (THEWILL) – Former Chelsea Manager, Thomas Tuchel, could be set for a dramatic return to management with Paris Saint-Germain.
Tuchel has been out of a job since his upsetting departure from Chelsea last September, but he has previously led top European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and PSG, whom he guided to the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League title.
PSG have reportedly grown frustrated with current Head Coach, Christophe Galtier, and are keen to re-appoint Tuchel. The French club sacked Tuchel in December 2020, after he spent two and a half years in charge, during which time he achieved the best win percentage in Ligue 1 history.
However, following a recent run of three consecutive defeats, PSG are reportedly willing to admit their mistake in letting him go. Furthermore, after reportedly turning down two English Premier League offers, Tuchel is said to be interested in a return to PSG, where he would have the opportunity to manage a top side competing for major trophies.
The German is said to be seeking assurances from the club, but it seems that PSG are ready to do whatever it takes to secure his return according to sources monitored by THEWILL.
