December 05, (THEWILL) — Nigerian musician, Tuface Idibia, has clarified that he did not support the petition filed by his family against his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The petition, which surfaced online on Thursday, accused Osawaru of financial misappropriation, assault, bigamy, threats to life, and substance abuse.
According to the document, the family urged police to investigate claims of unauthorised financial transfers, the withholding of Tuface’s personal documents, including his passport, and allegations of bigamy after Osawaru reportedly presented herself as his new wife without a confirmed divorce from his former partner.
The family further claimed that her actions had prevented Tuface from honouring business commitments, resulting in embarrassment and financial setbacks.
The petition also followed earlier allegations from his former managers, who claimed Osawaru was attempting to take full control of the singer’s finances and career.
Responding to his family’s actions, Tuface wrote:
“This whole situation has gotten dangerously out of hand, and I can’t keep quiet anymore. I’m grown and have the right to do what I want. My family, who claimed they wanted to save me, have actually destroyed me and damaged Natasha’s character.”
The development comes amid heightened public attention on Tuface’s marriage, following recent online discussions suggesting tensions in his personal life.
