Jamie Vardy, Leicester’s clutch striker, breathed life into his team’s hopes with a crucial goal in the closing stages.

The veteran forward poked home from close range, reducing the deficit and setting the stage for a dramatic finale that would ultimately test Brighton’s resolve.

Vardy also played a pivotal role in Leicester’s equaliser.

The forward provided the assist for Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who tapped in in the 91st minute, completing a remarkable comeback that earned a valuable point for the home side.

The result sees Leicester move to 16th position in the League table, while Brighton remain in seventh place.

The Seagulls missed an opportunity to apply additional pressure on their European qualification rivals, in a disappointing conclusion to what had initially appeared to be a comfortable victory.
