October 19, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, sparked widespread concern after she tearfully hinted at experiencing violence in her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a video that surfaced on social media on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Daniels appeared visibly upset, surrounded by people who tried to intervene and calm the situation.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence—it’s too much”, she cried.
The exact cause of the confrontation remains unclear.
Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel, popularly known as Sammy West, publicly expressed outrage on Instagram moments after the clip went viral, accusing Nwoko of assaulting his sister:
“Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister… Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall… I swear I for burst all your jaw.”
Senator Nwoko later broke his silence on Sunday, dismissing the allegations and attributing the situation to what he described as Regina’s struggle with drug and alcohol abuse.
In a post shared on Instagram, he claimed the actress went on a violent rampage in his absence, attacking staff and damaging property.
“She slapped and hit three staff members in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause”, Nwoko wrote.
He described her behaviour as “drug-influenced” and said she required continued rehabilitation.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs”, he added.
So far, Regina Daniels and her representatives have not issued any official statement responding to Nwoko’s claims.
Regina Daniels married Senator Nwoko in April 2019 at the age of 19, while he was 59. Their marriage has continued to draw public attention due to its polygamous nature and the significant age gap between them, often placing the couple in the media spotlight.
