April 25, (THEWILL) – Ola, the ex-wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Atanda Adeyeye, has taken to her Instagram page to pay tribute to her late ex-husband.
The former queen, who left the palace under some controversial circumstances, while the king who died on April 22, was still alive, expressed sadness over his demise.
“Daddy, words fail me, but God knows better. I was thinking it’s all lies and that you are coming back, but I’m afraid I was wrong”, she wrote.
“The father of my kids, that I met at an impressionable age and left when it was least expected.
“We were practically best of friends, but the moment they had an inkling about who your favourite was, everything flopped.
“Alas! the kids and I can’t see you anymore nor communicate with you any longer, but I vehemently believe you are seeing us, how I wish we can still have a few words because I’ve got a whole lot to tell you.
“I’m bereft of what to tell the boys especially, Adejuwon, because at his age, he reads and surfs the net so much that curiosity gets hold of him and already knows a lot about you.
“You remain to me the best father, teacher, mentor and husband that ever bestrode the landscapes. Almighty Allah will forgive all your sins and accept your return.”
Recall that former queens, Omoh and Moji, also exited the palace in controversial manners. When they left, stories went round that a popular socialite who has been linked and identified with dating several actresses camped them in a hotel in Lagos before they both left to the United Kingdom.
Till this moment, both are yet to put anything on their social media handles to mourn the late king.
