Sunshine Rosman

April 06, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Sunshine Rosman, has spoken out about the worsening hardship, insecurity, and poverty in Nigeria, questioning when citizens and leaders will take decisive action.

In a video shared on her Instagram story on Sunday, Rosman expressed grief over the growing poverty, economic challenges, and continued loss of lives, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

“When are we going to wake up as Nigerians? When is it finally going to be enough?” she asked.

Describing the situation as overwhelming, Rosman said, “We can’t even begin to talk about the economy right now, the poverty rates. We can’t begin to talk about the lack of infrastructure in this country. But as if that’s not bad enough, innocent people and Christians in the north are constantly being slaughtered.”

She also highlighted the displacement of communities forced to abandon their homes due to insecurity. “Lives are being lost for nothing, and people have to migrate from their towns, homes, and villages because they know that nothing will be done,” she lamented.

Rosman concluded by stressing that the situation is unacceptable: “I swear it’s not normal. I swear to God this is not normal.”

Her remarks come amid violent attacks in several parts of Nigeria, including recent Easter-day and Palm Sunday attacks in Kaduna State and Jos North, in which people were killed and families forced to flee their homes.
