May 29, (THEWILL) – Reality show star, Ifu Ennada, has revealed why she suddenly left the movie industry about three years ago.
The controversial former Big Brother Naija housemate took a break from acting and started promoting her skincare company.
In an interview with The Punch, she stated that she actually left Nollywood to start her business.
“I have not been acting for about three years now. I decided to take a break to focus on my business. I wanted something that would fit my lifestyle, which I would be able to take a break from.
“As an actress, one cannot do that. But, if one has a business, one can always do whatever one wants. I could be away from business for about a month and still be making money.”
Speaking on her new plan to return to the movie industry, Ennada said she started producing movies before going for BBN in 2018 and she is ready to go back to her craft.
“Now that I have a system and structure, I intend to get back to acting. I actually have a project coming up with a producer, Martins Gbados and hopefully, we will start this year.
“Aside from that, I also want to produce my own feature film. In 2016, I produced my own short film and that was before I went for BBN.
“It got me an award or two, and that was when I did not have as many resources as I do now. By next year, I intend to produce a film. I already have the story, I am just trying to get my budget right”, she stated.
