July 12, (THEWILL) – Novak Djokovic advanced to his 10th Wimbledon final after defeating Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets on Friday. The seven-time champion outclassed the 25th seed 6-4 7-6(2) 6-4 on Centre Court.

Djokovic broke Musetti’s serve in the sixth game of the opening set after an impressive 26-shot rally. The Italian managed to break back, but ultimately lost the set due to a shaky service game. In the second set, Musetti took an early lead before Djokovic fought back to win the tiebreak.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion secured a break in the first game of the third set with a backhand crosscourt winner. Despite a late comeback attempt from Musetti, Djokovic prevailed on his fourth match point when the Italian sent a shot long.

This victory sets up a rematch of the 2023 Wimbledon final between Djokovic and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. The 21-year-old Spaniard earlier defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-7(1) 6-3 6-4 6-4 to reach the final.

The Wimbledon men’s final will take place on Sunday, with Djokovic aiming for his eighth title at the All England Club and Alcaraz looking to defend his crown.
