BEVERLY HILLS, June 21, (THEWILL) – A month after Seyi Shay told Guardian Life that her TV blunders were just an act, the singer has once again made another gaffe on TV this time in Jamaica *cringe*

During an interview in Jamaica where the host brought up the issue of Drake’s hit track ‘One Dance’ which he featured UK singer Kyla and Nigeria’s Wizkid, and how there is a raging argument in Jamaica about Drake’s sampling of the song.

Responding, Seyi Shay revealed that the same argument was also going on in Nigeria. According to her, ‘One Dance’ is actually Wizkid’s song not Drake’s. “Wizkid wrote it…Legendury Beatz and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afrobeat song”, she said.

(Huh?)

Watch!

Boy is she wrong! The truth is ‘One Dance’ is actually a sample of Kyla’s 2008 song ‘Do You Mind’. Drake also sampled instrumentals from the U.K funky remix done by the Crazy Cousinz. That aside, both Wizkid and Kyla got production credit for the song so we don’t really understand what she means by “they stripped a lot of the music away.”

Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long to hear what Wizkid had to say about his co- Pepsi ambassador’s gaffe. The ‘Baba Nla’ singer pretty much shut her up!

Responding to a fan’s query regarding the truth in Seyi’s claims, Wizkid said “she lied”.

Seyi who also once revealed Wizkid is her distant cousin, took to Twitter to apologize for her mistake and admitted that she spoke based on “hear say”.

What a mess! *sigh*
