March 17, (THEWILL) — Kristin Cabot, the woman who went viral after being caught with her former boss, Andy Byron, during a Coldplay concert, has spoken out.

The incident happened in July 2025, when Cabot, then Head of HR at the tech startup, Astronomer, was filmed in an intimate embrace with Byron on a stadium “kiss cam”.

Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, joked from the stage that they might be having an “affair”, as both tried to hide. The clip quickly spread online, drawing global attention and affecting their personal lives and careers.

Cabot, who was separated from her husband at the time, shared that her daughter messaged her during the concert to tell her she was also at the show.

Speaking on The Oprah Podcast with Oprah Winfrey on Tuesday, Cabot said she has since ended all contact with Byron.

“There was a big miss on honesty and integrity. He wasn’t the person he represented himself to be, to me, and lying is a non-negotiable for me.”

She confirmed she ended communication with him in late 2025.

Cabot suggested Byron was not fully truthful with her but declined to go into details, saying, “A lot of what was represented to me was not true.”

She maintained that she believed he was separated from his wife at the time and said the concert was their first moment of physical intimacy.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Cabot said she faced most of the backlash while Byron remained silent.

“I was left holding the bag… being the one that was attacked for this, and he’s remained silent. To me, that’s not a quality that I would look for in a friend or a partner or a boss. So we have no relationship now”, she said.

She described the reaction as harsh and personal, noting that “every single part of my physical appearance was picked apart.”

Cabot admitted she made a mistake but said the response was excessive. “I own the poor decision that I made at that moment, and I’ve paid an unimaginable price for that.”

She also pointed to a difference in how both were treated, saying Byron had the “luxury of staying silent” while she felt the need to speak out.

Cabot added that the experience has changed her view on public judgment, stressing the need for empathy and caution when making assumptions about people online.
