March 26, (THEWILL) — A 35-year-old Florida woman, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and multiple charges after allegedly firing shots at the Los Angeles home of pop star, Rihanna.
Ortiz entered her plea on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She remains in custody, with bail set at $1.875 million.
Prosecutors say she drove to Rihanna’s home in Beverly Crest on March 8 and fired about 20 rounds from a semiautomatic rifle before fleeing. No one was injured.
Court documents say she allegedly targeted Rihanna, her partner, A$AP Rocky, their three children, and others at the property.
She faces one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and other charges. Each count relates to a different person she is accused of putting in danger. If convicted, she could face life in prison.
Authorities later arrested Ortiz at a shopping centre in Sherman Oaks, where her vehicle was found. Prosecutors say she also had a wig, suggesting a possible disguise.
Ortiz, a licenced speech pathologist for more than a decade, has been barred from working in California while the case continues. A judge denied her request for lower bail.
She is due back in court on April 8.
