March 09, (THEWILL) — Workers were forced to evacuate on Monday morning as a fire raged through part of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in the Federal Secretariat, sparking panic across the complex.
The blaze occurred in Section C of the building, where the Office of the Head of Service operates. Eyewitnesses said the fire was first noticed at about 8:20 a.m., with flames becoming more visible around 8:30 a.m.
The incident triggered an immediate response from the Federal Fire Service, whose personnel were deployed to contain and extinguish the blaze. Workers evacuated nearby offices as safety measures were activated, while emergency responders worked swiftly to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.
