June 02, (THEWILL) — Veteran Nollywood actor, filmmaker and comedian, Adeshina Okiki Oshin, popularly known as Janmole, has died.
The actor reportedly lost his life in a car accident on Monday, June 1.
The news was confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin.
Announcing the tragic development on Instagram, Mr Latin wrote:
“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.
“May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”
News of Janmole’s death has thrown the movie industry into mourning, with colleagues and fans paying tribute to the late actor.
His passing comes nearly four years after he survived a serious accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Janmole was widely known for his work as an actor, filmmaker and comedian in the Yoruba film industry.
