January 21, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has issued a strong warning to an individual allegedly impersonating her on TikTok and defrauding members of the public.
The actress accused the impostor of using her name, image, and content to collect money from unsuspecting people while posing as her.
Speaking in a video broadcast, she said, “To the girl impersonating me on TikTok, collecting money and claiming to be me, if we catch you, nobody will save you. I don’t back down when people plead on social media. You will definitely go to jail.”
She added, “I know my impersonator is a girl because we have been trailing you; the police are on you. You will definitely go to jail.”
Dikeh disclosed that law enforcement agencies have been informed and that investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the operator of the fake account.
She also cautioned her fans and followers to remain vigilant, stressing that she does not solicit money on social media and advising the public to immediately report any suspicious accounts claiming to be her.
