June 02, (THEWILL) – Big Brother Naija reality show star, Alexandra Sandra Asogwa Amuche, also known as Alex Unusual, has stated that those undergoing plastic surgery, do so because they feel insecure.
She took to her social media to pen down a lengthy post about those who are obsessed about plastic surgery.
According to her, plastic surgery is not needed unless it is done due to health condition. But waking up and deciding to go for plastic surgery is the height of insecurity.
Stating further, she opined that the body most ladies desire is acheivable if they are disciplined and determined to work at it.
She added that she often try to convince people who love to go under the knife to think twice before taking that step as there is “no guarantee of perfection or survival” during the surgery.
“Going for surgery doesn’t make you a bad person. But I know you need help to build self love and the people around you are not helping you.
“It hurts me more when the surgery is to have figure 8, that means perfection to you and the shallow minded people in our society.”
She also revealed that everyone has an insecurity they are dealing with and she also has her own. “I’m currently dealing with one due to a health condition, I have to eat when I’m not hungry and I put on a lot of weight.”
Her constant weight gain made her insecure, but she didn’t choose surgery to get rid of her insecurity.
She added that some people are born chubby, but the definition of a perfect body doesn’t favour them. Which doesn’t have anything to do with their beautiful soul.
She also stated that, “people should stop looking for short cuts that can kill them easily.”
The reality show star also made it known that many will disagree with her opinion because they feel attacked or that she has no right to speak.
Concluding her post, she stated, “I just hope we all learn to love our bodies, put in work where necessary, try your best to be healthy and active.
“Let’s not watch our bodies fall apart and get depressed, let’s not key into society’s demand but our own personal demand.”
