March 23, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, had a tense but awkward moment with a young presenter during the red carpet coverage of the Miss Nigeria 2026 Patrons & Board Dinner in Lagos.
A video circulating on social media shows the actress losing her cool as the interviewer struggles to manage the interaction.
During a live segment of the event, the inexperienced presenter approached her and asked her to introduce herself, saying, “Alright, welcome to the 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?”
Caught off guard, Omotola paused and challenged the presenter’s approach: “You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready.”
The presenter tried to reassure her that he already knew who she was and simply wanted the introduction for the audience: “I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with”, he explained.
Omotola dismissed the explanation, replying, “Why should I let fans know me? I am tired,” before walking off with a warning: “Don’t touch me.”
The video has since gone viral, with viewers reacting to the awkward exchange and Omotola’s blunt, no-nonsense response.
