Singer-Kehinde-Adegbodu

April 10, (THEWILL) — Armed robbers have attacked the home of gospel singer, Kehinde Adegbodu, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday night around 9 p.m., just days after the burial of his twin brother and music partner, Taiwo Adegbodu.

The singer said he was away in Osun State when the attackers stormed the family home and frightened those inside, including his late brother’s wife and children.

Valuables, including phones, gold, clothing, and shoes, were taken during the raid.

Adegbodu alleged that the attackers were searching for money raised for his brother’s burial.

He said one of the robbers was heard on a phone call saying, “Kehinde is not at home. We met his wife and his late brother’s wife with their children. We can’t find any money in the house.”

He added, “I wasn’t at home when the incident happened. I was in Osun State when my late twin brother’s wife called me, and her voice was shaking. She said armed robbers came to the house and were saying, ‘Where is Kehinde? Where is Taiwo’s room that died? Where is their jewellery? Where is Taiwo’s phone? Where is the car key? We are here because of Kehinde. We want to see him. Where is his room?’ The robbers took all my clothes, valuables, and cash. One of the robbers called their boss on the phone, saying that I wasn’t around.”

“I think the robbers thought that the money Yinka Ayefele raised for us was still with me. These robbers don’t even care that we are mourning. They spent over 45 minutes at our house. Since the incident, our kids have been living in fear; they are scared to sleep in the house”, he further stated.

The attack comes shortly after the burial of his twin brother, who died on March 1, 2026, and was laid to rest on March 31.
