April 23, (THEWILL) — David Anthony Burke, the singer known as D4vd, is facing murder charges after an autopsy revealed the cause of death of a 14-year-old girl found in his car.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said the victim, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, died from “multiple penetrating injuries” caused by an unknown object. Her death was ruled a homicide.
The report was released on April 22, 2026, months after her body was found in September 2025 in the front trunk of a Tesla linked to the singer.
Authorities said her remains were badly decomposed. The report also noted injuries to her chest and abdomen, as well as evidence of dismemberment.
Toxicology tests found drugs and a small amount of alcohol in her system, but officials said they did not contribute to her death.
Prosecutors allege the teenager was killed around May 2025 after visiting Burke’s home in Los Angeles. They have charged him with murder, among other offences.
Burke, 21, has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers said he did not cause the girl’s death and will “vigorously defend his innocence.”
The case has drawn widespread attention, with authorities saying the delay in releasing the autopsy details was due to the complexity of the investigation.
The case is ongoing.
