April 23, (THEWILL) — Jimmy Donaldson, the YouTube star behind the MrBeast brand, is facing a federal lawsuit filed on April 22, 2026, by a former employee alleging sexual harassment, gender bias, and retaliation.

The lawsuit was filed in the United States by Lorrayne Mavromatis, who worked at Beast Industries from 2022 to 2025.

In her complaint, Mavromatis said she experienced a workplace where female employees faced harassment and unfair treatment. She also claimed she was demoted after raising concerns about the work environment.

She further alleged that she was expected to work during her maternity leave and was fired shortly after returning.

According to the filing, the work culture was “male-centric”, with complaints often ignored or dismissed.

Beast Industries has denied the allegations, describing the lawsuit as a “clout-chasing complaint” with “categorically false statements”.

The company said it has evidence, including internal messages and documents, that it believes will disprove the claims.

Mavromatis is seeking damages, including compensation for lost wages and emotional distress.

Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, is currently the most-followed creator on YouTube. His company has grown rapidly, employing hundreds of staff and expanding into major productions and business ventures.
