August 26, (THEWILL) — Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Rooboy, has won the Head of House (HoH) challenge, dethroning the previous holder, Jason Jae.
Jason Jae had initially secured the HoH title during a challenge following Sunday’s live eviction show.
However, Rooboy outperformed contenders like Bright Morgan, Kuture, Dede, and Koyin in a subsequent competition.
As the new Head of House, Rooboy gains immunity from nominations for the week, access to the exclusive HoH lounge, and significant influence within the house.
He selected Zita as his deputy, granting her special privileges.
In a major gameplay shift, Big Brother reintroduced the traditional nomination process this week, allowing housemates to nominate two peers for possible eviction. This change ended the weeks-long rule that placed all housemates up for eviction.
In a surprising twist, all Week 5 nominations were declared null and void. After several housemates were nominated, Rooboy drew a special “nullification” power from the Tree of Tirinkets, invalidating all prior nominations and making this a free eviction week.
This marks the first time this season that housemates were given direct nominating power, though the outcome was ultimately overturned.
