September 08, (THEWILL) — Thelma Lawson has clinched the Head of House (HOH) title for Week 7 of Big Brother Naija Season 10, toppling outgoing HOH Faith after winning Monday’s challenge.
Her win grants her immunity from eviction and access to the coveted HOH lounge, which she has chosen to share with Mide.
But the night took an unexpected turn when housemates Dede and Joanna were abruptly evicted in a dramatic twist.
The shock eviction was triggered when the red telephone rang and Dede answered. Big Brother host, Ebuka, instructed her to pick another housemate for a “surprise.” She chose Joanna, and moments later, both were informed they had been evicted.
The announcement threw the house into chaos.
Sultana broke down in tears, while Isabella speculated it might be a fake eviction, recalling similar scenarios in previous seasons.
Big Brother, however, ordered housemates to pack Dede and Joanna’s belongings, fuelling further confusion.
It was later revealed that the pair had been moved into a hidden section of the house, awaiting further instructions.
The twist comes just a day after a triple eviction sent Big Soso, Ivatar, and Doris packing. With Dede and Joanna now out of the main house, the number of contestants has dropped to 17.
Fans and housemates are now on edge, as Big Brother teases more surprises in the weeks ahead.
