August 14, (THEWILL) — Former Big Brother Naija winner, Josephina “Phyna” Otabor, has publicly called out billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, and the Dangote Group after a company truck allegedly crushed her sister, leading to the amputation of one leg and a risk of losing the other.
In an emotional social media post, Phyna accused the company of instructing the police to remove the truck’s licence plate rather than addressing her sister’s condition.
She wrote: “Dear @aliko_dangotegcon @dangotegroup… you decided to tell the Nigerian police to remove the plate number on the truck that crushed my sister. One of your managers is going to the station tomorrow. What happened to seeing my sister first? If that truck and your driver leave that station!!! I will be right back… na money you get, you no be God. But my God is bigger. Enough is enough.”
The reality star revealed that her sister—a recent graduate—was hit by the truck, resulting in one leg being amputated, with doctors warning that the second leg may also be lost.
In a voice note sent to activist Verydarkman, she said, “Verydarkman o, Dangote don kee my sister o. Dangote trailer jam my sister wey just graduate days ago. Dem don cut one of her leg comot and they say dey go cut the second one. I don send money I don send money tire…”
Verydarkman has since joined Phyna’s call for accountability, publicly urging Aliko Dangote to personally address the situation.
At the time of reporting, the Dangote Group has not issued an official statement regarding the allegations.
