May 07, (THEWILL) — Actress Blake Lively has spoken out after new details emerged from her settlement with actor and director Justin Baldoni.

The co-stars settled their legal dispute on May 4, avoiding a trial and bringing a partial end to the case.

In a statement on Thursday, May 7, Lively’s lawyers described the outcome as a “resounding victory.”

They said Baldoni and other defendants have waived their right to appeal.

This means they could be held personally responsible if the court finds they misused the legal system or retaliated against Lively.

The agreement also allows Lively to pursue legal fees and punitive damages under California law, even though no money will be exchanged as part of the settlement.

Her legal team also said the deal confirms that her concerns “deserved to be heard” and rejects claims that she “fabricated” allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation.

The legal dispute began in December 2024 after Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and alleged a smear campaign during the production of “It Ends With Us.” Baldoni denied the allegations.

Some of Lively’s claims were previously dismissed by a judge in April, while Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was also thrown out.
