August 07, (THEWILL) — Hollywood actor, Brad Pitt, and his family are grieving the loss of their beloved mother, Jane Etta Pitt, whose passing was announced this week in a moving tribute by her granddaughter, Sydney Pitt, on Instagram on August 6.
In her tribute, Sydney, daughter of Brad’s brother Doug, remembered her grandmother as “love in its purest form.”
“My sweet Grammy, we were not ready for you to go yet, but knowing you are finally free to sing, dance, and paint again makes it a tad easier.” She wrote
“She could keep up with all 14 of us grandkids without missing a beat. There was no limit to the love she gave, and everyone who met her felt it. I don’t know how we move forward without her… We were truly blessed to have her to love growing up, and I know she lives on through each of us.” She added
Jane, a retired school counsellor, and her husband, William, who owned a trucking company, raised Brad and his siblings, Doug and Julie, in Springfield, Missouri.
Sydney emphasised her grandmother’s compassionate nature, noting she had “the biggest heart” and “caring deeply for everyone and everything, no questions asked.”
While Brad Pitt has not yet made a public statement, the family’s heartfelt words paint a touching portrait of a woman whose kindness and warmth created a lasting legacy.
