March 02, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has announced a major change in her spiritual and personal journey, revealing she no longer wishes to be addressed as “King Tonto Dikeh”.
In a video shared on Instagram on Monday, Dikeh explained that the decision was made in obedience to the Holy Spirit, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her journey.
“In obedience to the Holy Spirit, I will no longer be addressed as ‘King Tonto Dikeh’. You can call me ‘The Woman of God’, ‘Evangelist Tonto’. I’m going from a mess to a message”, she said in the video.
Dikeh expressed excitement over the timing of the announcement, calling the moment symbolic and believing it aligns with what she sees as God’s prophecy for her life.
“I want to make this declaration, and it gladdens my heart that I can do this on the first day of March. It just aligns with the prophecy of God upon my life, that He is marching me away from everything that is past, and marching me into the prophecies of the new morning”, she added.
For Dikeh, this transformation represents a step toward spiritual growth. She emphasised the importance of divine direction in her life.
“His joy, His peace and His authority keep aligning with me. As such, I will not be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh. You can call me the woman of God. You can call me Lady Evangelist Tonto Dikeh. You can call me Tonto Dikeh, but I will not want to be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh. This is the direction of the Holy Spirit”, she explained.
The actress also made it clear that this change is not just about adopting a new title, but a reflection of her deeper faith and obedience to God.
In 2018, following her highly publicised divorce, Dikeh adopted the title “King Tonto” as part of her personal rebranding, symbolising strength and authority. Over time, the title became a significant part of her public persona.
