April 08, (THEWILL) — American rapper, Cardi B, says she has been the victim of credit card fraud and wants those responsible to face justice.
The Grammy‑winning artiste made the claim during an Instagram Live on Monday while continuing her Little Miss Drama tour. She said her American Express card went missing about two weeks before the fraudulent activity began.
According to Cardi B, four people allegedly spent about $60,000 on designer items at Saks Fifth Avenue and tech products at an Apple Store before the card was cancelled.
Cardi B threatened the suspects directly, saying:
“Y’all going to jail! I got clear pictures of you motherf***ers”
She explained that every time her credit card is used, her phone and her accountant receive alerts, and the suspicious purchases quickly raised alarm.
Cardi B also said she received clear surveillance images of the alleged thieves at the stores and even at a nearby bank where they tried to withdraw cash.
She stressed her determination to hold those responsible accountable, adding:
“One thing about me, I don’t play about my f—king money.”
It is not clear how the thieves obtained her card details, and there has been no official statement from law enforcement.
