May 25 (THEWILL) — American singer, Chris Brown, has received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Visual and Performing Arts from Harvest Christian University, based in Dallas, Texas.
The honorary doctorate was awarded during a graduation ceremony held on May 23, 2026, in Los Angeles.
Brown shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of himself in graduation robes while holding the certificate.
“I DID A THING!” he wrote.
The university honoured the singer for his contributions to music, choreography and live performance throughout his career.
Brown also received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award medal during the ceremony.
The award comes during a busy period for the singer, who recently released his 12th studio album, “Brown”, on May 8.
The singer is also preparing to begin a new tour, “The R&B Tour”, with Usher, which is scheduled to start in Denver on June 26.
