May 04, (THEWILL) — Nigerian music star Davido has apologized to fans after missing a scheduled performance in Lagos due to travel issues.
The singer was set to perform at the fifth anniversary of Secrets Palace, a Lagos nightclub, held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, but was unable to travel after his team struggled to secure fuel for his flight.
“The world happened to me yesterday… These wars around the world have really started penetrating… finding fuel was a problem yesterday to even fly… everything had to be rescheduled,” Davido wrote on social media.
He also apologized to fans who had gathered at the venue:
“To my fans that pulled up at @secretspalace! Sorry I missed. We gonna run it back again soon.”
Davido congratulated music producer Seyi Ademoye, popularly known as Sheyman, who hosted the anniversary event, and reaffirmed his support for the celebration.
