December 28, (THEWILL) — The family of Nollywood actress and producer, Allwell Ademola, has announced her death, confirming that she was 49 years old at the time of her passing.
In a statement released on Sunday, the family said the actress died on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
“With heavy hearts and total submission to the will of God, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, and aunt, Princess Allwell Ademola, who departed this life on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 49”, the statement read.
According to the family, Ademola was involved in the creative arts from a young age and went on to build a career as an actress, singer, and filmmaker, earning admiration for her dedication and passion for the industry.
The family also expressed appreciation to her colleagues, friends, and fans for the support and condolences received since her death.
“The Ademola family sincerely appreciates the overwhelming love, prayers, and messages of condolence from colleagues, friends, and well-wishers across the world during this difficult time”, the statement said.
They added that details of her burial arrangements would be announced at a later date.
The clarification follows earlier reports that incorrectly stated the actress died at 43 after allegedly suffering a heart attack.
Since the announcement of her death, tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues across the film industry.
