Nollywood Actress Doris Ogala Demands ₦1bn From Pastor Chris Okafor Over Alleged Broken Marriage Promise

December 28, (THEWILL) — Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, also known as Grace Nation International or Liberation City, publicly apologised to Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, on Sunday.

The pastor knelt before his congregation as he sought forgiveness for what he described as past mistakes.

The apology followed weeks of public controversy after Ogala accused Okafor of having an affair with her, breaking an alleged promise of marriage, and contributing to the collapse of her previous relationship.

The accusations surfaced shortly after the cleric reportedly married his new wife.

Ogala alleged that the relationship lasted several years and accused the pastor of emotional manipulation and betrayal, later filing a lawsuit.

Okafor had earlier denied the allegations and said he would allow legal authorities to handle the matter.

In a viral video from the church service, Okafor was seen addressing the congregation.

“Listen, we’re not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody.

“I am sorry to everyone I have offended, including Doris Ogala. I apologise to everyone I have offended”, he added.

The pastor said he was ready to make amends, adding, “I am ready to make restitution to anyone, any lady I have offended. Forgive me.”

He also admitted that he was not perfect before kneeling in front of the congregation and asking for prayers.

Despite the apology, Okafor maintained that some of the allegations against him were not true, saying parts of the claims were false.

Ogala later responded during an Instagram Live session, saying she forgave the pastor but rejected his claim that she lied.

“I forgive you, but I have a problem where you said everything is a lie. I do not lie”, she said.
